GONE FISHIN'
If you're fishing for the perfect addition to your art collection, you will find Kate and Kerry's older preschool class gift off-the-hook.  This 4-panel, mixed media oceanscape contains brilliantly decorated fish that will make you wish you were back in school.  Students created the background with watercolor wash on canvas.  Each artist created an angel fish and "signed" the piece with their thumbprint.  We suggest you don't flounder on this one.  If you are angling for a unique work of art, don't be koi, let minnow.  Tackle this deal by raising your paddle and reeling in a beauty.  Special thanks to Abigail Melnick, Kim Spancake and Rachel Cummings for all their hard work!

CORN HOLE BOARDS
Nothing says summer like a competitive corn hole game!  Don't hold back in bidding for this hand crafted set of corn hole boards, made by the children in Renee and Jennifer's class!  All the children had a major part in the construction of these boards.  The boards were painted Duke School gray, with the Duke School logo and Sparky the Dragon added.  Each child in the class added their unique hand prints to personalize the boards.  The set comes with eight bean bags in Duke School colors.  Every child in the class designed their own bag so the winner will have their pick of which eight bags to take.  Special thanks to Don and Courtney Smith for all their hard work!

"I SEE ME" SELF PORTRAITS
We can see all of our children in this delightful canvas multi-media collage of self-portraits.  Inspired by their early semester exploration of "Who Are We?".  This colorful and playful picture reflects their wonderfully maturing understanding of self and self-expression.  When you view this sea of smiling faces, you are sure to smile back!  Each of the children have taken special care to draw their own self-portraits and painted their faces, features and clothing to represent how they see themselves.  What a special keepsake commemorating this year of growth!  Many thanks to Lisa Lanier!

"ROOMS WITH A VIEW" - OUR HOUSE OF CREATIVITY
This original playhouse, created by local folk artist Sam Ezell and the children of Beth and Lindsay's kindergarten class, consists of a large, house-shaped frame with 18 windows, measuring 48" x 36" in total.  Each child created a meaningful arrangement of found objects representing a special space inside or outside their own home. The windows were then assembled to form a single 'House of Creativity', inspired by the class’ current house project and by the children’s natural creativity and curiosity about the places and spaces in which they live, work and play. The house can function as backdrop for hours of imaginative dramatic play, or its windows can be filled with 8x10 photographs to create lasting memories as a family keepsake.  Special thanks to Melanie Hatz and Catriona Moore for their dedication to this project.

PUZZLE ME
This 3 1/2'  hand crafted wood puzzle of Lizzila is sure to inspire and entertain for years to come!  Each and every decision regarding the design of the puzzle was decided upon democratically by the class, and then each student embedded their own creative concepts on individual puzzle pieces.  The outcome is a gorgeously memorable puzzle!  It comes with a large board for mobility and display as well as a wooden box to discreetly store the pieces. Special thanks to Maria Siegel for this project!
